PALM HARBOR – Bernie Borges, CEO of search marketing firm Find and Convert, has launched a new training series for job seekers called Social Networking for Job Seekers. He'll deliver the training live next month in Trinity. The seminar is free and intended for job seekers and business professionals interested in improving their social networking skills for career development.

“I’ve been speaking on social media strategies since 2007, and I stumbled across a gap of social networking knowledge among job seekers that really struck me,” says Bernie Borges. “I am passionate about delivering this education in a live format for free, and making the video training available online or DVD as an option for those who want to hone their social networking skills in their job search. This training is beneficial to career development whether you are currently employed or out of work,” said Borges.

The February 23rd Social Networking for Job Seekers training workshop is based on the video training series which is available on bernieborges.com and contains two and one-half hours of educational content. The Job Seeker training video contains five segments designed to guide job seekers through a series of steps and thought processes to improve their ability to seek and find gainful employment.

“Job seekers must understand the new rules of a job hunt in the Internet age, and in particular the age of social networking,” said Bernie Borges. “Employers use social networks to find qualified candidates. Being absent or, worse yet, not adequately presenting your personal brand or building your professional network works against job seekers. People must understand this and embrace it in order to be competitive in today’s job market.
