The Florida Venture Forum Announces Presenting Companies for the 2011 Venture Capital Conference

By Florida Technology Journal Staff Report.

floridaventureforumTAMPA - The Florida Venture Forum has selected 19 Florida companies to present at the 20th annual Florida Venture Capital Conference, to be held at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Fla. on Feb. 3-4, 2011.

The 19 presenting companies, some of Florida’s best early-stage prospects for equity financing, will make 12-minute presentations to an audience of venture capitalists, private equity investors, angel investors, investment bankers, financial intermediaries, service providers and entrepreneurs.

Following are the companies selected to present:

Central Florida

Voxeo, Orlando: helps enterprises improve service and lower costs by automating and connecting their most common phone calls with their Interactive Voice Response (IVR) or Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions. Their hosting and premise platform solutions and developer services powered by VoiceXML and CCXML are used by more than 100,000 customers and developers to create and deploy any telephone application they desire.

Northern Florida and Panhandle

Inhouse, Inc., Ponte Vedra Beach: is part of the lender services industry and provides appraisal management solutions to the mortgage lending industry. The company operates through two segments: Appraisal Management Software (AMS) and Appraisal Management Company (AMC). The AMS segment offers a software as a service platform on an open network that facilitates lenders’ appraisal management needs through web-based work-flow, automation, accounting, reporting and regulatory compliance tools. The AMC segment offers an outsourced appraisal management solution that performs all appraisal management administrative functions on behalf of mortgage lenders. The company primarily serves mortgage lenders (banks, non-banks, thrifts, credit unions and brokers), and mortgage servicers.

Pet Paradise, Jacksonville: is an upscale pet boarding chain located throughout the southern region of the United States. Pet Paradise aims to be the premier chain of pet boarding facilities with emphasis placed on every detail of pet care. Verdicorp, Inc., Tallahassee: develops and manufactures modular, portable, Renewable-Energy Power Plants (REPPs) that can be used anywhere in the world to convert heat from a variety of renewable energy sources (including solar, geothermal, biomass and waste industrial heat) into electricity. Many entities around the world today are developing renewable energy heat sources, but what is sorely lacking is the availability of off-the-shelf REPPs that can be transported anywhere in the world, installed quickly, connected to the renewable energy heat source and placed into operation for producing electricity.

Southeast Florida

AccuDial Pharmaceutical, Palm Beach Gardens: has 34 patents for displaying weight based dosing for OTC, prescription, injectable and veterinary medications. The business model is to license to national brand manufacturers and provide store brand products. They currently have eight OTC medications in 4,500 Canadian pharmacies.

Tower Cloud, Inc. , St. Petersburg: is focused on providing reliable and cost effective mobile backhaul services to wireless carriers to support the roll-out of new 3G and 4G wireless services.
