Sunovia Energy Technologies Raises $1.2M of $2.5M Offering
SARASOTA - Sunovia Energy Technologies has raised $1.16 million from three investors as it bids to raise a total of $2.5 million from the sale of shares, according to a regulatory filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The Sarasota-based developer of LED and solar energy technologies had named Art Buckland to succeed founder Carl L. Smith III as CEO effective Tuesday. Buckland was most recently at Soliant Energy, where he reportedly developed ideas for solar panels that could generate distributed electricity without government subsidies.
