Bayshore Solutions Recognized as Nominee for Governor’s Innovation Award
Bayshore Solutions, provider of Web development and design services was a Nominee for the 2009 Governor’s Business Diversification Awards- Mega Market Governor’s Innovation Award and was presented with recognition at an event hosted by The Committee of One Hundred on Oct. 6 at the Law Offices of Carlton Fields.
Bayshore Solutions has been a recipient of various awards including being honored as the Southeast Region’s selection forSmall Business of the Year, consistently demonstration excellence in all areas of business performance as well as various industry awards for creativity and Web design such as Webby, ADDY, Horizon and Creativity Awards.
The Committee of One Hundred hosted a reception to honor Hillsborough County companies nominated for the Governor’s Business Diversification Awards. Local businesses have self-nominated or been nominated in one of six categories that the state recognizes are in emerging and high technology industries that contribute to Florida’s economic growth annually. Categories include: Governor’s Business Expansion Award, Governor’s Newcomer Award, Governor’s Export Excellence Award, Governor’s Entrepreneurship Award, Governor’s Innovation Award and the Governor’s Green-to-Gold Award.
This local reception follows the Governor’s Industry Appreciation week held the third week in September, when the Governor hosts the winners from all of the categories from across the State. The primary criteria used to select the nominees are set by the Governor each year. These criteria are typically: an increase in employment, amount of capital investment, civic contributions, and involvement in current business issues such as workforce, recycling, drug-free workplace, and quality assurance.
