coolTECH 2010 to Feature Hot Gadgets, Disney Keynote
TAMPA – coolTECH 2010, the Tampa Bay Technology Forum’s third annual showcase of emerging technologies will be hosted on Friday, June 4th at the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa.
The event features exhibits and demonstrations of cutting-edge technology solutions being developed by companies, universities as well as high school students from throughout the Tampa Bay Region.
Here is a sneak peek at some of the exhibitors that attendees will have a chance to check out:
- ClicRweight, Inc. – a lightweight, handheld device used to measure the weight and height of any creature using stereo vision and 3D technologies. The device is particularly helpful for measuring large animals and ClicRweight will demonstrate the device at coolTECH with a real cow. It’s as easy as Point.Click.Weigh.
- PETS, Inc. – a Sarasota-based company developing a new alternative in energy-efficient transportation, will exhibit its first product, GoPet , a personal mobility device that is economical, efficient and easy to use.
- Rover Technology Fusions – will demonstrate RoverINK , a line of products that captures handwritten data utilizing digital pen and paper, laptop, tablet PC or smartphone. The products are ideal for companies that need a fast way to move information from the field to the office without changing the way you work.
The Tampa Bay Technology Forum has announced that Frank Farro, who leads new technology research and development for Walt Disney Resorts & Parks worldwide will deliver a special lunch keynote. Farro will highlight the process for innovation at Disney. Attendees will learn how Disney has implemented successful innovations and new technology that have impacted business and growth.
In addition to the exhibits, demos and keynote lunch, coolTECH 2010 will feature a special IMAX Dome presentation and Judges’ Awards presented to the most innovative exhibits via live text voting by attendees.
coolTECH 2010 is expected to draw over 600 high-tech professionals, business executives, entrepreneurs, investors and students interested in pursing careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
