Florida Among Top States for App Jobs
ORLANDO - A new TechNet-sponsored study suggests that Apple’s App Store ecosystem has generated nearly 500,000 jobs for the US economy in under five years’ time. Florida ranked 10th on the list of app economy jobs.
While the study showed that many of these jobs were centered near New York City, San Francisco and San Jose, fully two-thirds were based in states such as Georgia, Florida and Illinois. Not only does the study show that app job generation is continuing to have a broad geographic impact accross America, it is also agnostic to the type and size of company where the jobs are created.
