Panhandle Technology Leaders to host iTen Wired Summit

summit-logo10PENSACOLA - The Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and Okaloosa Economic Development Council are hosting the iTen Wired summit December 10th in Destin. iTen Wired is centered on innovation, technology and entrepreneurs and focuses on bringing people and ideas together along the I-10 corridor from Mobile, Alabama, to Fort Walton Beach. This year’s summit features keynote speakers Dr. David Goetsch and Bill Payne, and four regional entrepreneur groups to discuss sustaining technical entrepreneurship.

ALACHUA - Pasteuria Bioscience has raised $1.9 million out of its $3.8 offering of mixed securities, according to a regulatory filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The Alachua-based company raised $1.4 million in July 2009, according to a previous SEC Filing.

Web.com Gets Register.com for $135 Million

webcomlogoJACKSONVILLE - Web.com Group, a provider of online marketing for small businesses, today announced it completed the previously-announced acquisition of Register.com, a leading provider of global domain name registration and complementary website design and management services. In accordance with the terms of the acquisition agreement, as announced on June 17, 2010, Web.com acquired privately-held Register.com for $135 million, which was comprised of $25 million in cash and $110 million in long term debt.
