Feathr, a Gainesville-based startup that launched last year as a digital business card sharing application has made a shift toward using its platform for conference organizers.
The latest version of the Feathr allows conference or event organizers to use the platform to display critical event information, such as agenda, speakers, exhibitor and attendee information in a interactive format. The app features attendee profiles with social media integration, push notifications for important event information, and display advertising for conference sponsors.
Aidan Augustin, co-founder and CEO of Feathr says that although the new version adds many new features for conference organizers to go paperless, the primary purpose is to allow attendees to connect, interact and share information without using traditional paper business cards.
Feathr plans to roll out a advertiser supported version for low budget events and a fully customized application with branding options for larger conferences. The app will be available for both iOS and Android enabled smartphones and tablets.
The company is currently raising angel funding and is expected to close a round this Spring.
