TapShield raises $600K equity round

Written by David Glass.

Orlando-based mobile safety platform TapShield has completed a $600,000 equity round.

TapShield's enterprise mobile safety applications help citizens collaborate with police to build safer communities. The mobile safety application, available on Android, iPhone, Windows Phone, and BlackBerry, acts as a personal emergency device that provides instant two-way communication with first responders.

The app provides real-time indoor positioning and GPS location, key user profile information, and user-provided details — data not available through traditional 911 contact methods.
