Orlando's UniKey Scores $500K on SharkTank
ORLANDO - On the season finale of ABC's SharkTank, Phil Dumas, founder and CEO of Orlando-based UniKey Technologies pitched his solution that uses near field communication technologies on smartphones to control access to doors. The company scored a $500,000 investment from Mark Cuban and Kevin O'Leary.
UniKey Technologies is a mobile application and security services company founded on the concept of bringing today’s wireless, mobile and internet technologies to the access control mass market. By uniquely combining existing technologies, UniKey has developed a proprietary and patented “hands free” Passive Keyless Entry system that can be easily integrated into any access control system to replace keys, codes, and passwords.
