Tech Jam 2010 Rocks Tampa Bay for a Purpose
TAMPA – If you didn’t make it to Tampa Bay Tech Jam 2010, you missed one heck of a party thrown by the Tampa Bay Technology Forum.
Nearly 700 high-tech professionals from throughout the Tampa Bay area packed inside the Ritz Ybor in Tampa for the 9th annual event benefiting the TBTF Foundation. Long known as one of the largest technology events in Florida - Tech Jam 2010 had great food, lots of networking, cocktails, awesome silent auction, back-stage VIP party, and the return of the battle of the bands.
Battling it out on the main stage were bay area bands featuring Tampa Bay Technology Forum members. The bands did not disappoint - from modern rock to old school rock there was something for everyone.
The Party Sharks made up of members from Tampa-based telecommunications company Telovations and St. Petersburg-based financial giant Raymond James & Associates were crowned Battle of The Bands Champions by Tech Jam attendees.
Tech Jam is the largest fund raising effort for the TBTF Foundation - the charitable arm of the Tampa Bay Technology Forum. Proceeds from the event fund programs for middle and high school students interested in pursuing science, technology, engineering and math careers. The foundation also provides college scholarships, mentoring programs and computer labs in Tampa Bay area Boys and Girls Clubs.
